Voice of the Future, Sylver Logan Sharp, is poised to top the charts again with her latest CD, THE GROOVEMENT, recorded LIVE in Stockholm, Sweden! Soon to be released in the fall of 2013, THE GROOVEMENT CD was created and produced in collaboration with Sylver, impresario, producer/pianist and music director, Daryl L.A. Hunt; X-Level Studios executive producer, Jesper Wikstrom and additional production assistance from bassist/producer, Tommy Tordsson. The first single, Little Things was released on www.itunes.com, July 16. This CD project features acclaimed Swedish artists, including Anna Sahlene and Ida Sand; French harmonica genius, Frederic Yonnet and several of Sweden's and Washington DC’s premier musicians. THE GROOVEMENT is a journey through timeless melodies and pocket grooves with a “LIVE at the show” feel and edgy stamina.

 

A stellar reputation on the international stage as lead singer of the legendary group, CHIC, Sylver toured the US, Europe, Japan, the UK and performed at Night of the Proms with the orchestra, Il Novencento, in Antwerp, Belgium. She graced the stages of Stravinsky Hall at Montreux, Hollywood Bowl in California, Constitution Hall in DC, The Paradiso in Amsterdam, the Budokan, Osaka Jo Hall and every Blue Note in Japan! Her CHIC discography includes: CHIC-ism, CHIC, Le Freak and More Treats, CHIC, the Definitive Grove and the DVDs, CHIC, Live at The Budokan, CHIC, Live at Montreux and CHIC, Live in Amsterdam and Carlos Santana’s Hymns for Peace. Her TV appearances include VH-1 Storytellers, Larry The Cable Guy’s Christmas Special and Ellen with Kid Rock as well as numerous entertainment shows in Italy on the Rai TV network and Norway. Most recently Sylver appeared on The Malou Van Sivers TV Show, TV4’s Sommerkryset TV Show as a featured artist and performed a duet with Swedish music royalty, Magnus Carlsson. She ROCKED and at acclaimed jazz venue, Fasching, in Sweden and debuted Little Things at the Juu Jaab Music Festival in Estonia July 2013

 

Crossing many genres, R&B, pop, jazz, gospel, blues, Sylver is also known for her amazing a cappella magic in the moment. Her “Duke Ellington School of Arts” classical training combined with a natural ear for harmony creates a special brand of soulful sweetness sealed with edgy excitement that emotes "something we can feel". Sylver topped the dance music charts with her #1 Billboard Hit - All This Time and wowed "standing room only" aficionados in dance clubs all over the east coast.

 

Sylver's voice and namesake jewelry line, SYLVERWEAR, keep her in the company of "who's who" in the music and arts industry.
