Soulful R&B Singer, Songwriter, Recording Artist and Washington, D.C. Native Teri S has an extraordinary effect on her audiences. Teri's style and sound captures all ears. Accompanied by an all-star 5-piece band and sultry background singers, she is extremely blessed with such a powerful and beautiful voice. Her ultimate dream is to share her gift with the world! Teri S's career started at an early age of 7. Since the age of 10, Teri S has been requested to perform at Inaugural Balls and congressional ceremonies, singing for the late Dr. Dorothy Height, the late Coretta Scott King and, the former Congressman Walter E. Fauntory, former Secretary of Labor, Alexis Herman and host of other dignitaries and political figures.
Teri S fans, family and friends consider her to be very talented, entertaining and original. She has performed at the “Apollo Theatre”. She also landed a major singing and acting role on an Off- Broadway play “Put Your Hands Together” at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C. She has opened and sang with legendary artists such as the late Ollie Woodson and Dennis Edwards (Former Members of the group “The Temptations”) and most recently opened for the R&B platinum selling group “ZAPP”. She has shared the stage with Boys II Men, American Idol Winner Ruben Studdard, Kem, Kenny Lattimore, Tanya Blount, The Whispers, and Sunday Best Winner Y’Anna Crawley. Teri S has also made several appearances on Fox 5 Morning News and has become a fox 5 favorite. She is also a Humanitarian lending her talents to benefit the National Capital Food Bank's Annual Food Drive and at the NCNW.
Over the years, she's done voice-overs and several local and national shows, affording her the honor of singing for Patti Labelle in Philadelphia, PA and the syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show at the DAR Constitution Hall. She has also had several recurring performances at the Legendary “Blues Alley”, and always captivates a star-studded audience including NFL Star Clinton Portis, BET Networks, President Debra Lee, Joe Herndon of “The Temptations”, Dr. JC Hayward, WUSA – Channel 9, and many other influential figures. Teri S was fortunate to perform live at the White House in the past few years.
More recently Teri S has worked with Platinum Recording producers Glenn Ellis (formally of AristaRecords) and Baby Einstein of Teddy Riley Production group. In 2012, she performed at the Re-Opening Ribbon Cutting of the Historic Howard Theatre.
Teri S released her Debut CD entitled “In the Middle’ in 2007 which has and still is receiving rave reviews all over the world. Her singles, “Call Me” and “It’s All Good” were well received by Howard University’s WHUR 96.3. She released her project in January 2013, featuring her debut music video “Reverse” and single “Call Me” Remix. Teri S is currently working on her sophomore project (which is said to feature some of the industries heavy hitters) due to release nationally late 2014.
