Dr. Ashby, President of Family Practices Medical Services PC, also provides medical care to uninsured patients each Friday for a $40 fee.      Jack B. Johnson to write a tell all

 

Bruce Branch has been selected by former Prince George’s County Executive Jack B. Johnson to write a tell all book about his experiences in politics and the events that led to his being convicted on multiple federal charges. Johnson is currently serving an 84-month sentence in the Butner Federal Prison in North Carolina. “The Real Deal” is expected to be published early next year.

Branch Communications recently received an award from the Calvert County Minority Business Alliance for the help it has provided to small businesses in Southern Maryland. BC President (pictured on right) is one of the charter members and founders of the organization.

     The Internal Revenue Service has announced

The Internal Revenue Service has announced that due to a backlog of applications  and the suspension and termination of more than 300,000 nonprofits who have been forced to reapply for 501 c3 status, it is now taking more than eight months to receive tax exempt status. BC has come up with a recommended formula to ensure the expediting of any application that the company submits.

     BC Client Carmen Johnson and the Katie Able Foundation

 

Congratulations are in order for BC Client Carmen Johnson and the Katie Able Foundation (www.katieablefoundation.org) for the release of its new documentary and public television program “Financial Literacy From a Youth’s Perspective that debuted last month at the University of Maryland in College Park. BC owner wrote the treatment and co-wrote the documentary. He also helped the foundation receive their first grants in its three year history.

Branch Communications also is happy to announce that it will be launching two new interactive websites where clients and the public can receive up to the minute information on grants and business contracts. The websites which will debut in December are designed to be inexpensive one stop shops for small businesses and community organizations  seeking grant and contract information. To subscribe the fee will be just $$25 per month.
