This lagoon, surrounded by mangroves, is home to microscopic organisms that emit a phosphorescent light when the water is agitated. Plan your trip for dusk and then take a boat ride on the lagoon. Rose Hall Great House
The Great House was the home of Annie Palmer, known as the white witch of Rose Hall. She has been dead more than a century; Annie Palmer still stirs memories of her reign as the mistress of the Rose Hall Great House. Cursed by slaves, she turned a magnificent plantation into a house of carnage. Countless slaves fall prey to her torture while all three of her husbands met death at her hands. The Great House is on a 6,600 acre plantation.
Falmouth is the chief town and capital of the Parish of Trelawny in Jamaica. It is situated on Jamaica's North Coast just 18 miles east of Ocho Rios, and is known for its spectacular Dunn's River Falls. Travel west to reach Montego Bay and the beautiful beaches of Negril. During the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, Falmouth was one of the busiest ports in Jamaica. Our tour guides will meet your cruise ship at the Port of Falmouth. From there, you can either visit Montego Bay or Ocho Rios for fun times, great food, and wonderful shopping. Your can take in the sights at the historical Rose Hall Great House, and end the day by sailing along the Luminous Lagoon.
